What does personal training have to do with food & beverage management?

Nothing at first glance.

And yet…

Imagine that you have just made a decision that you want to improve your condition and figure, but you do not know where to start.

So you go to a personal trainer. You meet, you decide what you care about the most, which muscle parts you want to strengthen, where to lose or gain centimeters the most, where to burn fat or build muscle mass.

The trainer sets the training mode, types of exercises and diet for you. He knows what equipment to choose, what load and intensity to achieve the set goal, and during your cooperation he supports you, helps you maintain motivation and consistency in action.

He will praise you for your progress and sometimes scold you when, unable to resist old habits, you stuff yourself with beloved donuts.
Will you see a difference in your appearance standing in front of the mirror after one, two or three training sessions?

You will not.

For the change to be noticeable, you need to maintain consistency for much longer. How long?

It depends on how ambitious your goals are.

In the individual mentoring program in the field of food & beverage management it works similarly.

When I run it, I am like a personal trainer for you, only instead of your condition, figure and muscles, we work on specific skills and competences in the field of food & beverage management.

At the beginning, I get to know you and your professional path so far, your current work environment and the areas in which you want and need to acquire competences.

On this basis, I prepare a specific plan for your individual mentoring program, select the appropriate tools, the mode in which we will work and the goal we want to achieve.
All this is based on your actual work environment, the structure in which you operate, the scope of responsibilities and expectations that are set for you and the tools that you are able to implement, taking into account the characteristics of the facility in which you work.

How long does such a program last? It depends where we start from and what our goal is.

It can be 3, 6 or 9 months, because just like in personal training, in mentoring you will not see a dizzying change after one or two training sessions.

Becoming a leader is a process, more of a marathon than a sprint.

Can you learn food & beverage management on your own?

Of course, you can! Just what for?

Why waste time, act by trial and error, when you can learn faster and more effectively from the mistakes of others?

As the saying goes, “A wise man learns from his mistakes, a clever man learns from the mistakes of others, and a foolish man does not learn at all and keeps making the same mistakes, hoping for a different result.”

For the past two decades, I have consistently followed the path of this wise man, and I can lead you along the path of a smart one.
